Wow 28 pages. I don't know what was said in the OP, but I can take a guess. It does get easier over time. My youngest has been a nightmare sleeper!! But if you can the best thing to do is nap when they do and ask for help if it is needed. I used to be stubborn and refuse help and became burnt out. With my oldest he had bad colic until he was four months old. We was saving to get our own place so the three of us were cramped into a tiny room. It drove me insane and I just wanted to walk away. I never did and I never would. But I wanted 5 minutes to be able to think clearly. Even now when all of my 3 are making each other cry and have been none stop I have wondered how I will make it through the day. My youngest son has recently had chicken pox. One of the days was hell. My husband was working a 12hour shift and I had 2 hours sleep. I wanted to crawl up into a ball somewhere and be a million miles away. I took the chance to do the shopping on my own the other day. And even the hour alone did me the world of good. It does get easier otherwise I wouldn't want to be wanting to go through it all a fourth time. The initial shock of how hard parenting is can be quite daunting. Regardless of how you are feeling today, tomorrow may be different and you will feel the complete opposite. Everyone has good and bad days with their children. Children are the hardest emotional job in the world imo, but it is worth it.

OT - I also thought the bowl of dicks were chalk.

I just hope the OP walked away with some sense of the options she has available to her. Makes me wonder if she was even able to sift through all of the other B.S to read any of the actual concern that was being voiced toward her. Good luck to you I hope things turn around soon!

Wow, I really did not expect this to go to TDC! The abortion comment I made was really out of line, but I was not in a good headspace, not at all. Even so, at my lowest point not once have I had the urge, or even the thought, of hurting my child. However there are times ive thought about leaving, though its just a fantasy, I would never do that to her.

I didnt actually expect any nice comments, I just needed to vent and it felt good to get it off my chest, but I am so grateful for all the kind words from you mamas   It is extremely reassuring to know I am not the only one going through this. Maybe I do have some mild form of PPD, but the only support person I really have is SO, he and I are going through a rough patch at the moment, plus he thinks PPD is a joke, so I could never even begin to talk to him about how Im feeling. I love my daughter and I love my life, for the most part, but at the same time I feel trapped.

Again, thank you to the mamas who understood, this thread really cheered me up   Chalk penis FTW

Just know that if you continue to feel sad that antidepressants isn't the end of the world. With my first I didn't take medicine and my kid was past 9 months old before I started to feel normal again. Like I said you can PM anytime to rant. I have my days and I'm going through the same thing right now!

no it won't dry up your milk there are safe ones out there you can take. My doctor told me if I feel that way this time to come to her and she will prescribe me something to take while breastfeeding.
