going to the dental ER

ugh. I dread and loathe the dentist.

I started getting mouth pain about 3 weeks ago. Just kept putting it off, hoping it would go away.


And now everything hurts

I have a really bad feeling that they are going to have to pull the tooth. My insurance won't cover a root canal on a molar unless it is abcessed. So it's either pay the 1400 out of pocket today, or get it pulled  

Some dentist will take payment plans I would phone around and find one insted of getting it pulled out.

around here, dentists won't treat before the third visit.

This is really my only option.

or it's just a bad cavity... praying for a bad cavity

Could you apply for care credit? I had to so that I had to have 3 root canals and I for the care credit and its intrest free for 18 months. Something you could look into.

it's a dental school so I don't know if that would apply. I'll ask

You said they won't do a root canal unless it's abscessed....did you know that MOST of the time, if it's causing you that much pain , it is actually abscessed?

Wouldn't hurt to ask... care credit as a wallet saver for me LOL

And I am now down a tooth. They had to pull it. It was beyond saving. The cavity actually started to go into the sinus cavity.

The dentist said that it could easily explain all of my headaches and migraines and ear pain
