Abortion: help me!

posted 4th Jun '12
Im in desperate need of advice. Im 16 weeks already, in most states already past legal limit for adortion. Yet for some reason Im starting to feel now like I want it bad! Im not sure if all the reality just hit me, or if Im just nervous or what! Im in school right now for skin care and I want to focus hard on it because Im making this my career so I want to do great and then some. Now I fear its going to come second and I wont be as good as I want. I know if I just try hard I can do it all but do I want to push myself like that? Deal with stress, money issues etc. Im so young and I live ten states away from my whole family. I feel guilty bc the baby is already 6 inches and Ive waited this long. Has anyone else terminated a pregancy at 16 weeks? I know I will feel guilty but it might be the right decision to finish my life before bringing a new one in. Or I can take responsibility, Im not sure what to do at this point and Im running out of time to figure it out. Can anyone help me with some advice :/ ...

you are the only one that can make this decision. if you want, you can still get an abortion however it will be more expensive now and more invasive. Good luck hun!

I am pretty sure that is to far along for an abortion. However, I do not really know much about them. You can look into adoption though. That way your baby will be taken care of and loved, and you can focus on your life. their is no shame in adoption. It takes a big person to admit that they just are not ready.

OP,
It's definitely a tough decision. One that you have to be 110% sure about or else it could haunt you for a lifetime. I can't tell you what to do because only you know the right answer. Which whatever it is, I hope you can come to terms with real soon.

Best of luck.

Anyways OP,no I have never terminated a pregnancy but this is a choice only you can make. If your state allows abortions this far into a pregnancy & you really think this is what is best, then go forward with it. Just make sure to really think it through before doing anything,it's definitely a hard decision. best of luck to you.

I would think hard about this decision, it isn't an easy one. If you really feel it is the best choice, then look up the laws on abortion in your state and the states close to you. Some states do them up to 24 weeks, I believe.

If you feel guilty then you will probably regret it. Make sure its 100% what you want. How much more schooling would you need? I just graduated from college and have seen many moms have babies during there school. Depending on the time they have the baby they just take a semester off and then go back. It can be tough but you can have the best of both worlds. I suggust talking to your school and finding out what they can offer. mist schools helps moms financially as well.

I have a 2 1/2 year old, I work about 45 hours a week, and I am a full time student with a 3.7 gpa. Yes it sucks, and I am exhausted a lot. You just have to keep telling yourself that it is worth it, and it will not last forever. Like everyone is saying, it is your decision. Only you know what is best for you. Each one of these situations is different from the other.

I terminated at 15 weeks 3 days because I felt it was the right decision at the time. I regret it now. But I know it was for the best as I was young and still in school. It's always a hard decision but one you have to be sure of. I wish you the best of luck. Adoption would be just as hard emotionally for someone so young.
