Cluster feeding a preemie ..?

Do any of you have any expiences with this?
Claira's Dr recommended us to cluster feed our baby girl during the day and let her sleep for longer at night.
Since I started it she sleeps 2 long lapses of 4 hours with one hour of nursing from both sides at night time and then every 2 hours for one hour during the day.
Question is am i doing it all right? Should i feed her every hour during the day like the doc said?

Idk about feeding her every hour? (though I have never heard of cluster feeding) What week was she born?? My son was born at 32 weeks and when he came home he ate about 2-3oz every few hours starting out!

I would feed on demand, not try to schedule feedings in. What if she is hungry at night are you suppose to just ignore her until she passes out to sleep longer?

If she isn't hungry every hour, she probably won't eat. We wound up feeding on demand with our DS because he wasn't hungry when his "scheduled" feedings were, but he would eat much more when he was ready to eat so he wasn't lacking for food. Our daughter though has always been a cluster eater, especially when she sleeps, and is a tiny little thing anyway.

she was born at 36 weeks of gestation.
We have to wake her up every two hours to feed her during the day otherwise all she does is sleep and sleep Some more, so there is no demand from her. She will eat when we feed her no matter how often it is, so i could spend the day with her napping and feeding her every 20 minutes if i wanted.
If she is showing signs of being hungry (hands to the mouth or open mouth Etc) i feed her before she is starts to cry but its really rare.
