I'm BF feeding my daughter, I have been for 10 weeks now but my supply doesn't seem to be enough for her, I have to top her up with formula after feeds as she is still hungry, I have tried everything from drinking more, eating right etc but my supply hasn't picked up I can only pump off around 1oz off each side n she needs way more as she then has 2oz of bottle after I'm open to any advice if any of you ladies have any I would be grateful x

For starters stop supplimenting, just keep putting her on the boob, also try lactation cookies. How much you can pump is no indication of how much your infant can get out, babies are better at extracting milk then pumps. Also that kellymom website has some great suggestions to boost your supply

That's ok at least you tried. I wasn't able to bf because I couldn't produce enough milk..an ounce..at most   my kid is perfectly fine

Pump. Feed. Pump. Feed. To keep your supply up you have to keep feeding...like constantly. If you're not pumping...you should be feeding...and vice versa. Drink LOTS of water. 100 ounces AT LEAST. (that's four big gulps from 7/11) Let her live on the booby. The more you stimulate your boobs to produce, either from pumping or her feeding, the more you will produce. You'll probably not do much else but feed your baby and pump milk.

i was only able to breast feed for about 3 months with my last baby, my supply completly went away before i even brought her home from the hospital.. have you tried the fenugreek pill?? personally, it didnt work at all for me, but ive heard it works amazing for tons of other people.

I did the same thing too and my DD was not thriving on breast milk alone. I was drinking mothers milk and pumping every hour and still not producing enough. You can continue to do what you are doing even though it feels like she is not getting enough from you because even that little bit is helpful to her body. I went back to work so I stopped.

Have you been eating a lot of vitamin rich foods hun? I stayed on my prenatal's while breast feeding... it really helped. Keep trying momma... I hope you can breast feed as long as you want to!

I'm really trying hard not to give up as I don't want to, I've tried feeding and pumping but its not working its only making me exhausted :-( I haven't tried any pills so I think I will go out and buy some in morning see if they help, thank u ladies, and I'm supplementing her feeds cuz I don't want the poor mite to feel hungry all the time :-(

I'm about to stop too but, i just can't bring my self to stop. pumping only gets 20ml while hand expressing gets an ounce. for 3 days i worked at building supply and i was successful but LO wouldn't latch or if he did he would fuss. everytime i tried putting him into position he cried. it's making me depressed honestly lol

It is me 2 lol but if I have too I will cuz I don't want my baba feeling hungry all the time lol at least we have tried :-) x

You might want to get your thyroid checked. That can cause a low supply
