I would take the job back if I liked it that much and I got a raise.

I am saying take the job only because who knows when you blow through your savings if you even have a job. If you can I would try to negotiate less hours at work. Your daughter deserves your time too. This is a tough decision. good luck with it.

Maybe you could try to take with the CEO? Try to work with her on a new schedule that allows you to be a more present mommy, even if that means no extra 100$ raise? Then you could do what you love and be more of a mommy like you want. Use the fact that they say they need you to your advantage! Your obviously good at what you do.

That's a tough decision because being a single mom you need the money since there is no cushion if you can't find a 40 hr a week job before the money runs out. On the other hand you are right and your child needs you. I would take the job to put a lil more cash in the bank and while doing that research other jobs until you get a hit and go from there. Do you have time to search the internet while you're working? If so I'd do that and look for another job while making money. That way you will have the backup job and a good bit of cash in the bank while taking a week or so off to be with your LO. Also he was a dick to just fire you because you did the schedule wrong..OMG! Fix the thing thing then. He didn't have to fire you. Sounds like he was being overly harsh.

I say take the job back for now, but keep looking for something with less hours. That way you can find something else you like that you still get to see your daughter without having to worry about using the money you have saved up, and could possibly even save more up.

I agree. If the office 'can't run without you', then you have a little leverage. Ask for fewer hours.
