measuring big

i found out why i am measuring big i had my 3rd ultrasound today and it turns out my baby is wieghing what he should 2 weeks from now....he wieghs 3lbs 11oz.he's in the 96 percentile,and my duedate has not changed either they are still sure i'm on time he's just a bigbaby....but i got to see the cutest thing while the woman was doing the ultrasound he had his head down and he was playing with his toes omg it was so cute but all i could think was god the looks like a really uncomfortable position but it was still so cute to watch my baby play with his toes lol but any way i'm a bit worried about him being big i really don't want to have a c-section but i do not want to give birth to a 9 or 10 lbs baby

I'm in the same boat!!! My babyhas consistently been measuring in the 90th percentile, and they won't change my due date either. I hope I don't go over, or else this guy is going to be like 20 lbs. Ugh. And yeah - I don't really want a C-Section either, but I guess whatever happens, happens, right?  

I had a natural birth with a 9 lb 12 oz baby. There were no complications (other than my preeclampsia)

And I only had 2 stitches....

It can be done. Jus be glad you're going to have a big baby and not a premie or a super small baby. (And those US measurements can be off by alot)

I know its like after a certain point how do you watch you weight! I just had an ultrasound as well they told the baby was about 2 and half pounds but two weeks prior my doctor told me I was gaining alot of weight and to watch what I was eating! So my suggestion is try to eat healthier! Only 9% of women deliver on their due dates so try to relax. I'm convinced I will deliver early my doctor doesn't feel that way but what can I do. I keep thinking they will change my due date but that has yet to happen.

I have been measuring small (about 2 weeks behind)and according to my bub's last ultrasound he was measuring 5 days ahead. Last week at my appointment I jumped to measuring almost 3 weeks ahead. I am not worried because with my daughter when I was 11 days overdue I measured only 37 weeks and she was born the next day weighing in at 7 lbs 14 oz.
The ultrasound weight and measurement are based on averages and can be off as much as 15% in either direction.

i've only gained 6 lbs bk of the 15 i lost

no i love fat babies in all of there pudgy glory lol i want my baby to b fat i just don't want to deliever a huge baby is lol

I measured big too and it wasnt because I was further along, he was just big. My doctor ended up sending us to a speacialist to get an ultrasound done. He just turned out to be a big baby. I got induced at 39 weeks and he was 9lbs 10oz 22.5 in long. It can be done, and it wasnt hard. Just make sure you tell your doctor you really want to at least give vaginal a try before a csection, even if its big.- If that is what you want to do. My doc wanted to do a csection but I said no I wanna at least try and ended up having him naturally. I did tear, but even that wasnt bad. Dont fret......

have been messuring 2 weeks ahead at every appointment , im so nervous about having a big baby as im only 5 ft 1and pre pregnancy i was only like 105 pounds arghh

Forgot to say if you want something you compare to, I measured 6lbs 10oz at 32 weeks and 8lbs 11oz at 36weeks and like I said he was 9lbs 10oz at 39 weeks......

yea i mean at my 5 month ultrasound he was 15oz and what they are supposed to b 10 oz or something like that so i mean he's been a bit big from the begining it's just i kno that the daddy is going to pitch a fit and start saying it's not his blah blah

they told me the same thing, although my belly is so small! and I haven't gained any weight. I wouldn't worry tho. The docstold my bestfriend that her son was gonna be about 9 pounds and he came out at 7! Sometimes, they are unsure and make mistakes
