This dog is about to feel my wrath

I am so sick of my neighbor's dog. All she does is bark at all hours of the day. As soon as I go outside, she runs to the fence and will not stop barking until I go back inside. We can't grill, sit out, even walk to our car without her yapping. I've told the owners that it's getting ridiculous but they don't do smurf. They say she was abused as a pup and now she's afraid of strangers. Look, I'm sorry she was abused, but enough is enough. Can I do anything about it? They keep her inside at night, but is she still breaking a noise ordinance or something? I know I'm not the only one that's annoyed, their neighbors on the other side are constantly screaming at the dog to "shut the smurf up." I love dogs, I love animals, but this dog is on my last nerve.

Check with your local township authority.

I know where we live, if a barking dog is a problem the owners must take the dog inside.

My dogs bark army neighbors sometimes but only for a few minutes. she could train the dog, him being abused isn't a reason...

I know in my town 20 minutes or more and then you can file a formal noise complaint with the police and after 3 times, they can lose their pet. Look into it.

that won't work because when she has guests over the dog will just bark again.

give her treats and show her you are a good person

I have tried. She's afraid for her life, she cries like you're about to beat her when you make a step toward her. The dog has issues.

I know, I feel bad for her. But imagine every time you go outside, you are bombarded with this high pitch bark that doesn't let up. It's wearing on me, seriously.

should never feed a dog treats without the owners consent. Like children dogs can have allergies or even be on a special diet.
