Sun Exposure

posted 2nd Jun '12
Hi, I am 24 weeks along and was curious about sun exposure.
I am going to my family's 4-H event today, we will be swimming and having fun in the sun. I will stay well hydrated because I have a huge jug that I will be keeping ice water in.
Is there anything to worry about when it comes to sun exposure? I will be wearing tons of sunblock as well.

the issue w/ sun exposure while pregnant is the risk of overheating.. if you get to hot go inside and cool down or jump in the pool

I know it sounds stupid but make sure to wear sunglasses. I destroyed my eyesight when we lived in Alaska when the sun reflected of the snow and ice.

Will it increase my chances of getting stretchmarks if I haven't invested in a suit that covers my belly?

Just keep the sun and shade moments in check, and keep the sunscreen on you. If you feel like you are getting red or someone says it put more on!
