Can I report this?

I don't think this guy did anything "illegal", but what can I do if something like this happens again?

So I work at Subway and me and the two teenage girls were working yesterday andI was in the back, but I saw these two men come in and the girls were making their sandwiches and one guy was being VERY inappropriate with them. He said something about one girl's shirt and then he said she could take it off if she wanted...   Then he told the girls they could "trade shirts" and he wouldn't say anything... At that point I went out there and kind of gave him a look and he shut up, but on the way out he was turned around and was like, 'You girls grow up quick now'.   What a smurfing creeper.

Anyway, the girls were really creeped out and we live in a small town, so we know he'll be around because he had a hat on for a company he works for right in town. Anyway, could I have called the police and just made a report? I'm going to check with my boss to see what she wants us to do when this stuff happens, but what cane we do in these kinds of situations? He was just being really inappropriate and both girls were pretty freaked out and I feel like I should've done more.

Any advice?

The Subway is franchised right? Tell the owner, and maybe he can ban him from ever coming back. That is totally inappropriate.

That would be sexual harassment, and it's very reportable. I would file a report to the local police- especially since you know the company they work for and what they look like. If it happens again, report it again. They can be arrested for stunts like that.

I think thats sexual harassment and can be reported by the girls....i don't like it one bit....creepers

i would call and make a report so its documented. thats sexual harassment.

sexual harrassment in the workplace doesnt just mean by fellow employees. if anything - he could be banned from the establishment.

Yeah it's franchised and the owner is also our boss, so I'm definitely going to talk to her.

See that's what I thought. I at least want it on record. A lot of women and young girls work there and we leave together at like 10:30pm and have to walk around the back of the building and I just don't like people like that coming around at all. The girls were freaked out and that really upset me. I was the adult there and I feel like I could've done more.

i had one guy that always use to come in when i was working at walmart and he would talk to me and tell me he wanted to hook up (very stalkerish) well i just told my manager and she told him that he needed to leave...he came back again then our big boss escorted him out...he was never back after that...i think your manager can stop people from coming into the store..like ban them...but just talk to your manager b.c its her/his store she can personally do something

I would have called the company he works for and told them he was being inappropriate to the teenage girls. I don't think the cops can do anything unless he's repeatedly done it. Then maybe a restraining order?

Yeah I'm definitely going to. Her and her husband own it and I know her husband will have no problem telling these guys not to come back.

this!!!!! They don't play around with sexual harassment especially toward minors.

Ok. Thanks for the help ladies. I figured there had to be something I could do. That was just way too inappropriate to let lay.

Ok we talked to our boss and her husband and they said anytime something like that happens we can absolutely call the sheriff and then either call him or her and he left us his direct number as well, so they completely backed us up and said absolutely call the police.
