did you wait (cs)

My dr told me to wait 2 weeks to drive. Im 9 days pp from a repeat CS. I've only taken Motrin for pain and on. ly take it here and there...maybe once a day but I've not had any in almost 48 hours.

I feel great. I have been walking since day one in the hospital. I really think my recovery so far has been great.

My rx for pain meds was for 2 weeks sooooo I'm thinking that's why they Saud said wait. Idk

I didn't have a CS...but they told me to wait too, and I didn't. I think I waited nearly 2 weeks, but I had things I had to do!

is this for a c-section? my rx was only for a few days, and was told to not drive for 2 weeks.. i think it has something to do with the pulling of the muscles when you turn then steering wheel.. i'm not sure tho. All i know is i tried to drive early and turning the wheel bothered the hell out of my stomach.

you may feel good but if God forbid u were to get in an accident even if it wasnt really your fault , you could still be blamed since you are under doctors orders not to drive yet! call your OB and ask

If you feel ok and aren't on any narcotics then you should be ok to drive.

Yes I waited, I was told to wait because it takes your uterus about 2 weeks to go back completely below your pubic bone. So if you were to get in a car wreck during that time, you could hemorrhage.

They told me to wait and that it had to do with braking. Your stomach muscles are too weak to stomp on the brake as hard as you might need too, and it could hurt you...
i didnt wait the full two weeks either though.

That's not true

They can't blame her for an accident unless she caused it.

But that doesn't make sense, she could get into a car accident when she isn't driving too...

discharged myself the next day because the hospital was no good, they weren't responding to me buzzing for someone, had to wait 15 minutes the one time and Max was crying.
I struggled walking up the stairs and lying down in bed so can imagine why driving would be painful!

ETA: I had an emergency c-section, not sure if that made a difference?
