She had her day with her grandparents and got lots of fresh air, so she's SO sleepy. It's wonderful

I have a hard time not jumping up at every little sound   He still sleeps in his swing so I'm always checking his blankets and stuff so it doesn't drag on the floor and mess with the motor.

I personally think that her offering to help other teen parents with advice is a good thing. Yes, it makes sense to offer advice when you are older. However, she is right in that older moms and pregnant women do not completely understand what it is like to be a pregnant teenager. Once you are over 20 and preggerz a lot of the sterotyping and such goes away. I had a child at 17 and I hated being a statistic: "You'll never graduate high school. You won't go to college. You'll have another baby before you are 20. You'll be on welfare" ETC ETC. I know that when I was preggerz for my daughter I could have used a few other teen parents to talk to about all the stress feeling etc It was a difficult time for me as none of my other friends were preggerz. Now, as I was a teen parent, I enjoy it when other teen parents ask me about stuff since I have been thru it before. I would always encourage a teen to take preventive measures and to wait unti they are older. I do not regret having my daughter when I did, just sometimes I think I would have been more prepared dealt with it better and enjoyed the role of mommy more if I had waited. I encourage teen parents to ask for advice from both older experienced parents and also other teen parents who have gone thru it before.

I have a hard time too. Even when she's just babbling and stuff, I just wanna pick her up immediately. Must just be a momma thing.

It's pregnant. Not preggerz. And I was 18 when I got pregnant therefore I am a teen mother too, and 19 when I delivered my daughter. And I still think she has no advice to give at this point in her life. I feel like she can talk about her situation and tell people what SHE learned from it, and ask others for advice but I don't think that giving advice is the best thing. I myself do not give advice to other mothers and find myself asking for advice a lot from experienced mothers. Stereotyping and pregnancy NEVER go away. Whether your a teen mother or a mother who decides at 45 she wants to have a child. It NEVER goes away. The problem that mothers and expectant mothers had with the original advice is that the OP only wanted to speak with other teen moms and only wanted advice and to give advice to other teen moms. The problem was that "older moms" felt they could give great advice to OP as well and OP basically wanted nothing to do with it. The problem was that it's okay for teenagers to ask for advice from other teenagers but once an "older mom" asked for advice from only "older moms" that the teen moms would only whine and complain and make a huge deal out of if.

A lot of "older" women on here have been teen moms though. I had my twins at 17 and they are now teenagers. So, tell me how another pregnant teenager that hasn't already lived it and learned from it can offer sound "advice"? Advice is given from knowledge gained through an experience. I've already been a teen mother, so you're saying a 16yr old who is currently pregnant knows more about being a teen mother?
