Paragard stabbing feeling?

posted 2nd Jun '12
I got the Paragard put in Wednesday, have been lightly bleeding since, but Thursday, my 2 month old kicked me hard in my stomach while nursing, and it hurt the whole day. Now it's starting to hurt again, and it feels like it's poking e in my right side. Is that normal? Should I go to the hospital? (My doctor's office is closed until Monday.)

EDIT:
I also had a C-section, not sure if I should be worried that it poked through that section?

Still its in your cervix/uterus and that is located under your pubic bone. Also a 2 month old really cant kick all that hard lmao.

Stomach, abdomen, whatever. If you don't like it, then sue me.
Could I please have serious answers?

They are serious answers.
Don't get bitchy because you said you thought your IUD was in your stomach

I don't think a 2 month old is going to harm anything in your 'stomach region...' Even then, your uterus is well protected by bones now, and it'd be practically impossible..

I didn't say it was in my stomach.
When I said she kicked my stomach, I meant my abdomen. I didn't know it was such a bad thing on here for someone to refer to one body part under another name that is USUALLY accepted.
You've never referred to it as a stomach?
And I'm not getting bitchy, I asked a serious question and I'm getting hammered on about my grammar.

Thank you.

I was wondering about the pain, though, what it'd be from. :/

Probably just your body reacting to it, but if you're nursing, I don't think you should have an IUD to begin with, you should've went maybe micro BC pill route?

My OB hyped it up, seeing as we aren't planning to have another one for at least 5 years and I'm terrible at taking pills on time. ^^;
