When Did You? And Would You?

posted 1st Jun '12
I went to the beach earlier and saw a lady with a baby. She was sitting right next to her (well not to close) and I said he was really cute and asked how old she said 2 weeks. I just smiled and said oh wow dont you think its to hot and the sun is to strong for the little guy(No shade just a little hat was on him) she was like I think he likes it. I gave a look and was like oh then turn back away. I thought that was to crazy. Because 1. My friends baby got sun burn when he was still in her tummy so imagine out 2. Most doctor would say no unless the are in shade and in a cool breeze area and has a lot of fluids 3. The sun so strong for little babies and the heat ugh most adult cant stand it. I don't want to bring my daughter to the beach (she goes in the baby pool now though) till next year by next summer she will be 1year and 5 months. When did you take your little one to the beach? And would you bring your 2 week old to the beach with no shade or anything just a hat.

Pretty sure a baby can't get sun burned in utero unless they have like a metal funnel in their vagina pointing towards the sun.

My oldest one was 10 months old when we went to beach and she was under shade every minute she wasn't in water and my second one was 18 months and still tried to stay in shade as much as possible

Yes we was at the beach last summer and and she got sunburn on her belly and the baby was kicking like crazy to the point she started having contraction and that's what the doctor at the hospital said she and the baby got it.
