re: we got our bassinet today! :) pics

Very cute bassinette. I wish we had gotten one. But since Kelly was so big, and was in the hospital for so long, she wouldnt have been able to sleep in it for more than a month.

I had trouble keeping our kitty out of her crib once it was put together and read an article (not sure where) that gave advice about keeping pets out of baby's things. I tried it and it worked very well.... All ya have to do is buy a cheap bag of balloons. Blow them up and fill the crib, pack n play, bouncer... whatever it is you want kitty to stay out of. Then encourage your kitty to get it in there... ie , inticing it or just tossing them in there... they HATE the feel of the balloons and will not go back in there. Just leave the balloons in there for a few days longer so they can see and "smell" that they are there and will completely lose interest in the item they want to take over. Hope this helps if your kitty decided she likes the bed and wants it for her own.

Such a cute bassinet. I put my daughter in hers last night since she has a cold I wanted her close to me..well she barely fits into. Her head and toes are almost touching. She has grown so much in 3 1/2 months.

Aw, dang! I need to pick up this bassinet my cousin is giving us. I really want it so I can keep the baby next to our bed before I move her into the crib.

aw that sucks!! I read on one of the reviews that someone said the mobile stopped working... we only plan on using it for like 2 or 3 months (we're not setting the crib up until we move out in aug.) so hopefully it will work for that long  

yeah, it stopped working. i just read one of the bad reviews and all this stuff happened with mine as well:

"This product is cute but you know what they say, "don't judge a book by it's cover"!! It looks nice and it worked for about 2 weeks before things just started to go wrong. The music stopped playing right, it sounded all warped and crazy! and the the vibrations started acting up, it would turn on and off by itself and vibrate so much and then stop, so it would always wake up my baby. Also it makes a terrible and loud sound whenever it's on. I would not recommend this to anyone."
