Quoting Alyssa's mommy [EBFT]:" Thanks! Honestly I think I might have some type of body dysmorphic disorder because I always feel ... [snip!] ... now went through pictures to post this thread. Now I do finally see it and feel proud of myself for what I've accomplished."
First of all, you look fantastic!!!! Secondly, I think what you are feeling is very normal for a lot of women, including those who have struggled with weight issues. I remember watching an episode of intervention from a long time ago...the girl suffered from a bunch of addictions including an eating disorder. At the end, when she was in rehab, her counselor gave her body image sheet with pictures of different body sizes ranging from sickly thin to morbidly obsese and asked the girl to circle what she thought she looked like. Even though she had made progress in rehab, and did gain some healthy weight, she circled a picture about 50 lbs heavier than she was. It's crazy how anyone can feel this way, not just those who have lost weight. I'm glad to hear you are finally appreciating your progress!!!
