Adoption

I gave my child up for adoption when I was 17. It's an open adoption..as in I get letters and pics from her. Well she's now 8 and I got the most amazing letter that I waited 8 years for. Her parents told her who I was! I love her sooo very much and have since the moment I conceived her so reuniting with her is a dream of mine. So this just brought me one step closer to my dream. Had to share my joy. Thanks for listening.

She didn't know she was adopted. Her teacher was pregnant and it prompt her to ask where babies ceom from and who's belly she grew in. One question led into another and eventually led to me. They told herI was young and in school and loved her very much and wanted her to have the best life possible. So I picked them to be her mommy and daddy. I am very pleased with how they handled it.

That's awesome. I had my son when I was 19- 17 years ago.... and I placed him for adoption also. I picked his adoptive parents. He knows that his mommy's tummy was broken and that I loved him enough to give him the life he deserves. He also has handled it very well because he knows I love him and so do his adoptive parents. I have no regrets. Below is pic of me and my son (Luke) from the last time I saw him in December.

Your son is very handsome. It's an amazing feeling to be able to give to another family the most prescious gift possible...a life. I was raised in a very unloving and neglectful home. In so many words I'll describe me as Cinderella as a child. The evil step mother. The works. I tried to be a mother I never had but I realized a little to late that dream was unrealistic at such a young age. The father was a criminal so I had nowhere to turn. I decided I saw it best for her to have a good life to give her up for open adoption. Best decision of hers and my life. She's very well loved but both her family as wella s myself. Great feeling!
