posted 30th May '12
So I had a appointment for June the 6th to find out the sex of my baby and I get a call today saying the lady won't be there so they have to move it to the 13th I am beyond mad, I have been playing a waiting game with them everyone else finds out the sex of their babies around the 18 to 19th week and I will be finding out when I am 22 weeks when they wanted me to be 20 weeks. I am so sick of this I have things I need to buy and they are wasting my time. I wanna punch someone lol.

First world problems.

Relax, it's not a life altering thing. People are people, the lady might have something that is incredibly important to her to do. Smurf happens. You're still going to get your U/S.

LO could be in a bad position to see anyway or they could say the wrong gender. Geeze. And besides that 2 weeks is nothing lol

It's really not a big deal, time will fly by.

Sorry they moved it but @ least it's only a cpl weeks. I didn't find out what my son was till 24 weeks. Go to a 3d place who gives elective us if you really cant wait. Or just buy diapers, wipes, feeding essentials etc.

Ikr..... 2 weeks won't make it impossible to buy stuff...
Maybe she had an emergency... People have lives going on too aside from finding out your baby's gender...

Lol it matters to me, I have things planned. It is very frustrating.

Go pay out of pocket for a 3/4d ultrasound because they have gender checks usually. I did that because at my 20 week scan the baby wasn't cooperating to show us the sex. I didn't really find out until 23 weeks.

If it's such a big deal, go pay $100 for one in 3d or something.
18 weeks as plenty of time to buy smurf.
Besides, kid could have its legs crossed. Then you wouldn't get to find out at all. Lmfao.

I know it frustrating. I cheated.... Well not on purpose. At 16 weeks I was having heavy discharge and major BH contractions so they gave me an u/s to check baby. I wasnt going to ask the gender but the tech asked if I wanted to know anyways... she said baby was showing off and told me it was a boy to to be sure at my 20 wk u/s.
Just try not to stress, before you know it, you will have your LO in your arms!

Pretty soon you'll have to grow up and realize everything is not about you anymore

I am not gonna pay for a ultrasound I am not that worried about it, I was just upset because my bf and his mom have that day off for the ultrasound and all that jazz, plus I was going to have pictures taken after to let everyone know the sex of the baby.

i agree with other i would pay out pocket for a gender scan. It was only 65.00 at the place I went to with our second child and 99.00 to find out for our first. We moved between the births of both our kids so every place has a different price.
