So afraid to die..

So for the past two and a half months, I've felt really sick and not myself. I went to my OB May 7th and told her that I've been having pressure in between my rectum and vagina. * sorry, if tmi. I was not suspecting pregnancy because, I had got my period the past two months. She said that I had a rectocele but it was not severe enough for the surgery as of now. And that eventually it could turn into a rectal prolapse from childbirth. She told me that if I decided to have more kids that there could be problems, because my walls were really weak..... I also had my well woman's visit, and had everything checked. They did not call back with anything abnormal. So it's May 29th ( I always get it the 14th or 15th ) and I have not got my period. I did buy a test last night and have not taken it yet.


If I would have known about the recto stuff before this, I would have not been so stupid. I have a 13 months old, and I am still with her father. We have been together for 6 years. We do plan on getting married, one day. Financially, we don't have the funds, but I believe we could make it....( I would not just get an abortion because we dont have enough money or because I want to " live my life without an extra responsibility. )He said either way he would be there for me and support my decision. I don't have the best health though, and I really was not planning on having any other children any time soon because of my health issues.


I have always thought id never consider abortion, but it has really been crossing my mind. Morally, I just didn't think I could do it but, as of now I am afraid to be pregnant and give birth again so soon. I also feel like I will die from some complication for making such a selfish decision. I want to be here for my daughter and I am having such a hard time picking which procedure would even be the "safest." My sister died from sepsis, and it makes me want to throw up just thinking about it. I have not taken a test, but I really have a gut feeling that I am. If I do have an abortion I am leaning towards a surgical one at my Ob office. Has anyone had a "safe" procedure? Anyone feel like the clinic is a better idea, since they do it more often?   so, so sad.

I think you should find out before anything and then you need to talk to your doctor before freaking out.

I have no experience to add to this, but wouldnt an abortion be traumatic to your body if your having the issues you are having?

This is true. I was trying to wait till the end of the month, to see if my period was just late.

You could always opt for a c section?

Not to sound insensitive but why don't you take the test first?

I am not sure, but I would think that a 6lb baby or more would be worse on it than the abortion procedure.

I wanted to wait to see if my period was just late...but yea, it was a pretty dumb decision because the sooner the better.

Before anything else, you need to take that test. You may be stressed about nothing at all. If you are not pregnant get on a great birth control.

I think your best bet would be to talk to your doctor about your options. They will be able to give you the best medical advice. Good luck.

If that is the best choice for you financially and/or healthwise then it is a good choice. It doesn't mean that at some point in the future when you are more physically strong and finincially stable you can try again. Good luck!

I guess get a few different doctors opinions on what would be harder on the body.

I feel like, I should suffer the consequences in a sense ...because, I did have unprotected sex. I am going to make myself take the test tonight.

I agree, take your test before you get too worked up...

I have had a "safe" procedure.
