Hello. At the age of 16 i had a suction aspiration abortion performed. Everything went smoothly, and there was no pain as i was medicated. It only took about 10 minutes for the procedure. There were no complications after the procedure either. The only side effect i had was the extreme feeling of guilt..and i am not going to lie, that feeling lasted for about 4 years until i finally decided to talk to someone about it.

  Also my grandfather got a staph infection, after having back surgery...and was on his death bed. I am just really worried something would occur after the procedure.

my aunt has MERSA and has had to have several surgerys to remove it she got it wile in the the hospital...

But u could always look into adoption if u can't go threw with it...

But i wish u good luck with ur choices and ill hope u get a BFN for now.

Thanks, I am hoping and praying for the best. He got the infection from the hospital as well.

Abortion before 12 weeks is very safe.. 10 times safer then childbirth. If that is what you choose then I'm sure you (physically) will be just fine. I had a late term abortion, which is much more risky- and I'm still here.   Good luck with whatever you choose to do, I'm just a PM away if you need to talk.

You seem so stressed... abortions are done allllll the time and very rarely do they go wrong. Unfortunately for me, my second went wrong but I was told what happened to me is extremely rare. My first went smoothly and I had no complications or pain whatsoever aside from feeling like I was having period cramps for a couple days after.

The whole experience just kinda sucked, the clinic got shut down though. The technicians put an ultrasound monitor right in front of my face and were trying to convince me not to do it, even went as far as to tell me I would pay for what I was doing to my child and tried to make me watch as the procedure was done. They gave me no pain medication so I felt the whole thing. I bled uncontrollably until I got pregnant with my 15 month old daughter. The procedure was on January 22 of 2010 and I got pregnant with Annika in late May or early June of 2010. But I have been told this is EXTREMELY RARE. It only happens in like 1 in 5000 procedures or something like that.

Yeah, it sucked pretty bad but like i said suuuuuper uncommon.

I took the test this morning, it came up negative   ....but I just dont get it. There is only one day left in the month and I feel exactly how I did when I was pregnant with my daughter. I never miss periods.

Guess I'm going for a blood test then...

All I can say is if you are pregnant the docs know the problem you are having they can monitor it very carefully and prevent any issues that could occur and they will know if c-section or vaginal birth is best for you. Talk to your doc about ALL your options before making a decision to abort. I know people say that you can always try later for another one but no two children are alike. Just make sure you weigh your options carefully don't make decisions based on fear.
