Medical abortion advice

Hi,
I am having a medical abortion appointment tommorrow. I am exclusively breastfeeding my 6month old, will I be able to breastfeed after taking the medicines?
I am nervous,I don't know what to expect.I know I am making the right choice.I just can't help but to feel nervous and a little bad. We where actively preventing and I can't have another child so soon.
Any advice or info on what to expect would be welcomed.Should have someone with me when I take the medicines?

Edited to add the abortion will be using pills,sorry didn't know the correct name. I will bring up the BFing at the appointment for sure.

Do you know what med you are going to be getting?

If you do, check the LactMed app(you can google it) and put the name in.

That is the most reliable source.

I'm not sure about whether or not you will be able to breastfeed immediately after, could you pump and store enough to last a couple days?

Did you tell them you are breastfeeding hun? They can give you the safest meds this way.

they tell you to have someone with you from what i have come to understand...

I think they would advise you to pump and dump.... they give some sedatives that are pretty hardcore usually.

I would just let them know you are breastfeeding so they can use the safest meds for that. I believe they tell you to wait 24 hours with most anesthesia but then again some people are put to sleep for a c-section and breastfeed afterwards. I would bring a pump just in case you need to pump to keep your supply up.

Not for the medicine based abortions, they just give a pill and information.
