Do you leave your box springs bare?

posted 28th May '12
do you cover your box springs with a fitter sheet or something? or do you leave them bare? i have them bare right now, but my sons is all flowered, i mean it's covered when you make the bed, which makes me wonder why would you cover it? does anyone cover them?

TIA

My kids have no box springs but our bed has one that is completely hidden by the frame of the bed so I don't cover it. I wish I could use a dust ruffle but the way the frame is doesn't allow it.

I have...but most of the time I don't. My son's is covered, mine is not. Mainly because his looks super cute that way in his room, and I don't give a tin smurf how mine looks, ha.

We have bedskirts. My kids like it too because they can hide stuff under their beds and you can't see anything.

Ours are covered because it protects against bed bugs and those are really bad here in the summer

My bed won't allow a bed-skirt, so I use a fitted sheet on my box-springs.

I think bed-skirts can look a little girly unless you can find a good streamlined one (hard to find in a twin) and I haven't found one I like for my son's twin bed, so I just use another fitted sheet for his too.

I like the way it looks, so why not!?

We have ours covered with a plain white sheet, even though it's not visible. I don't know why.... they were just always covered in my home so I did the same. I think we used to do it for a dust thing- we took them off and washed them every few bedding washes.
