re: 3rd Birthday

we went to chuckie cheese for my sons bday. but his in Nov so its a bit different. i'd love a summer bday though. rent one of those jumping thing, have a bbq.

I think we are def going to rent the jump thingy. That seems like an overall thing that EVERYONE loves. BBQ sounds like a good plan to me. Something fairly simple, but all the kids will have a blast jumping around.

Aww my son turns 3 in June as well. I can't believe how fast these years have gone by. He wants his birthday at Peter Piper Pizza and he wants to do the Doodlebops theme.
Do you plan to get a Jolly Jump for your house or will you have his party at a park? When my son turned 2 last year we had his party at hte park and rented a jumper but it was such a waste of money because everyone played on the park equipment instead. I think it'd be a total hit for a house party though.

I think if we rent one we will have it at our house. I'm not sure where to rent one at yet, I haven't looked any of that up yet. I'm just worried if we rent it they wont play in it, since it's so hot in August and we have a pool and that's usually where the kids first run to. The last two times it was too hot to bbq so we catered the food. No one wanted to stand in front of a grill in 90 degree weather atleast not me!

We'll either do it at our house or my Grandparents house, they have a gorgeous, huge fenced in backyard. But we won't do it at a park.

I was thinking about having it at my inlaws because they have a huge yard. but they have a german shepherd that hates anyone it doesn't know so that might be a bad idea lol. Plus at my house we have four dogs and I hate having to lock them up so they don't bother the kids. So we might have to just do that.

If you have to lock them up at least it's only for a few hours. We have a dog as well but the sweetest dog so we never worry about that!

Lol I know my dogs are really good with everyone, but it's the fact that I don't want them jumping on people or running out when someone opens the door ya know? Last year I had my husky in the backyard during the birthday party and she was only 6 months old at the time and the kids were just bothering her lol So I guess we will just lock them up, it really will be only for a few hours. I don't know what theme I'm gonna go with and if I should do two themes since I decided on combining their parties again.

Lol I know, my kids still have stuff in the garage they never opened from their last birthday. They have too much stuff as it is. So I have no idea what im going to buy this year. I need to get rid of a lot of stuff. I have donated so much stuff already but I keep buying lol.

DS turns 3 in August and I'm not sure we're going to doa party. We were going to go down to WI Dells with my whole family, but my SIL is due two weeks before DS's birthday and I know she's not going to be up to travelling like that so soon after her c-section. Plus we're doing a girls weekend down there two weeks later so it would be too expensive for a lot of us to go down there twice so close together. DH and DS have the same birthday so I also wanted something that he'd have fun with. I think we might just have a small family party (only us and my immediate family and MIL if she's in town) up at the kiddie amusement park near here. I think the kids will love it, the oldest nephew will be 4 in July, DS turns 3 two weeks later, and the youngest (so far) will be 2.5 at the time (they're all boys too)

That sounds like fun. I did take my oldest to the Dells before he turned 1. He actually had fun at the waterpark. I want to take the kids to disneyland since my husband's uncle works there and can get us a huge discount, but it's so hard to plan it with my husband's work schedule.

I know I haven't been there since I was like 8 and it wasnt as fun. I have more fun doing things now that I have kids. It's so expensive now thankfully we can get a discount lol

I can't wait to go with my two kids! I'm actually planning a trip there in three years where my oldest will be 6 and this baby will be 3. I grew up going to Disney World but I haven't been there in a really long time.
