What Do You Think ?

So some people that I have spoken to lately been calling my daughter Izabella. I asked why they call her by her middle name. And the response I get is because they thought I was speaking Spanish when I wrote Mia Izabella. They said I shouldn't have put a name that confuses people like WTF it doesn't confuse me and my family I think its beautiful. And then the talk crap about me spelling her middle name with a Z. My boyfriend and I picked to use a z it due to a family member who past away with that same name and spelling. So what do you ladies think? (Full name is Mia Izabella Moreira)

It's cute..My LO's cousin is named Izabella..

I love the name Mia and Isabella (I kinda understand why you spelled it with a z and its cute) but together it sounds like "My Izabella) or was that kind of the point? Either way its cute! I have a new baby niece named Isabella and we call her IzzyB

Yeah I picked Mia Because of the my(mine) part but not my izabella. And I dont think in school or on a normal bases someone going be like oh hi mia izabella. You usually only say peoples first name lol. So I dont know why people making it as if I made some big mistake. And awe I guess Izabella is a popular name lol

Mia is lovely but in the top 30 for girls names this year.
Izabella looks ghetto and uneducated. If you can't spell a name properly, you shouldn't use it. I don't care who spelled it incorrectly first.

Exactly! Its an adorable name. I maybe people are just being stupid? Like with youngest DD everything trys to call her Gracie (because her name is Lyla Grace) people do weird smurf with kids names sometimes.

okay but I have seen a lot of names spelled differently and it looks nice and I don't think a Z makes it ghetto. I highly doubt someone at a job or college will see her name and first thought is that it's so ghetto. And we got the middle name from his dead grandma and her name was spelled with a Z because her mom thought it was dumb if she was to nick name her issy it didn't look like it should sound so she put izzy because it looks and it sounds the way it should be if you was shortening it like that.

Thats true growing up everyone tried changing my name. Because it is just Lillie they spelled it wrong and also tried calling my Lilian or Liliana and more other stuff. I just give a look and say No its just Lillie learn to read it clearly says it on the attendance paper. ( I always got in trouble by teachers for saying that)

They like to do that.. its annoying how people assume that if a name sounds like a nickname that its just a dumbed down version of a long name.

I know and in 6th grade I went to class and there was a name tag on my desk and my name was spelled Lillio yes with a damn O. I said really loud now people are just smurfing with my name who can be this retarded. Luckily my teacher didn't say anything but sorry she probably was in a rush at a time and did a O instead of a E.

there are proper ways to spell names and improper ways to spell names. IZabella is a IMporper way to spell a name. Your man's great grandma was stupid and carrying on that tradition is just as stupid. It doesn't look nice. It looks like you can't spell and your poor daughter will be the one stuck with it. I'm fairly certain people WILL look at a resume or college app and think uneducated kid w/ parents that have poor judgement and are equally uneducated. As a former HR rep who filtered applications, I cannot tell you how many resumes we'd pass up based purely based on the person's name and how it was spelled. That was our #1 filter.
We didn't even interview you if you had a jacked up name. Swapped letters, Apostrophes, hyphenated names that sounded stupid (I'm not talking Mary-Katherine!) ALL of these wouldn't get so much as a call.
