Oh same here. I called HP the other day, because I was having problems with my computer, and an Indian guy answered the phone, and I couldn't understand a word he said. We were on the phone for two hours, half of which was me asking him to repeat himself...lol. Someone told me it's because they set up their call centers in other countries and hire workers over there because it's cheaper. Dunno if that's really true or not, but I've heard a few times before.

For the most part, it doesn't bother me, but when I worked at an electronics store, we didn't have a bilingual rep, and this guy actually yelled at me because I couldn't speak Spanish. That kinda got under my skin.

I just wanted to say, I love reading your posts. They sure get everyone on this board thinking and talking   You're one of the most insightful/intellegent people I know.

I know I sound like an ass kisser, but, I don't care. You make me think, and that's quite an accomplishment

I have cricket and when you call 411 it says stay on the line for english and press one for spanish.

That would shut some people up i think.

I usually just madly punch the "0" button when the recording picks up. Hahaha.

I can proudly say that I work in customer service, and you get a customer service rep within 1 min. no pressing a million buttons. haha

I used to work for Cingular...(when they were still cingular)

We got complaints ALLLLLL day long.

Then again....they could have been complaining because i wouldn't give them a payment arrangement.
