I would just continually be there for him, and make sure he is okay. If he needs his space, I'd give it to him, but some company would probably benefit him as well.

Just always remind him that it wasn't his fault, and that maybe with his family's help, his father can recover from being depressed.

i would definitely try your hardest to get him to go talk to someone!!

I try to be around him but he just pushes me away. He's outside on our deck sitting there in the dark.... I went out there and asked him what he was doing and he ignored me so I just left. I just feel so bad idk how to react to this.

He's been in inpatient care before ( at 16-1  and had a horrible experience with counselors. He's worried they won't listen or they will judge him and force medication on him.

i think it's all about finding the right one, and if he's worried about the med thing, make sure you go to someone who can't prescribe meds(therapist, counselor, or psychologist), i've been to a couple different one's one i hated, and the one i have now, is awesome

sorry hun you guys dont need this. Is he taking anything? will he talk to anyone? i would say just be there if he needs you and try not to push
