re: planning 2 baby showers!!

IMHO, It's trashy to throw your own baby shower. Someone is supposed throw it for you and they do it because they want to not because you ask or tell them to. It could just be a family thing though because one of my cousins demanded a baby shower and my aunt was like hell no. It's one thing to offer a baby shower but demanding one is out of line.

I had a friend throw me a shower, she did the planning with the help of some of my other friends, alot of people showed up with gifts but 3 people did not bring a gift. They are not loosers, they are my friends one of them simply helped the friend who through the shower by cooking, the other was my SO's good friend, and the 3rd a good friend of mine, the fact that they showed up to celebrate the to soon to be arrival of our daughter was gift enough. you got a lot of growing up to do. And yes you throwing your own baby shower is tacky as all hell are you going to charge an entry fee too. Oh and my thank you cards I'm sending out even the people who didn't bring a gift because I took a poem from the internet and changed the words so that the last line before we sign says: Thank-you for your Love, Support and Kindness. We wanted to include everyone because some people couldn't make the shower but sent a gift and as I said others were there just because they love us. But sadly none of this means anything to you I'm sure I just wasted my time
