Thank you! I'm still keeping my fingers crossed that he comes on his own before then, but if not that's cool too. At first I was really stressing out about him not coming out when he was supposed to (or earlier!) mostly because it seemed like everyone around me who was due around the same time or after was already having their babies... but then I came to terms with it! I'm not really in any physical pain other than a few pains here and there, so I was just being more anxious and impatient than anything. I guess this is God's way of teaching me to be more patient because Lord knows I usually have NONE!

Wow I could jab myself w/ a needle either a nurse tryed to give me an Iv they other night and didn't go for an obvious vein instead went for one he couldn't see and after an hour of looking he finally got smart and went for one he could see. so once it comes out u have baby?

I hate having iv's whenI was in the hospital they blew my veins about seven times trying and then finally called a specialist to put one in me. Ya, Iwill have him right away. My doctor wanted me to have him after my appt. Friday, but she let me wait so I could go to my baby shower. Once you take the pump out people usually deliver within a day or two, but I'm so far along with dilation and contractions she's just going to break my water.

SEVEN times? a student blew mine once and that HURT LIKE HELL!! I can't imagine seven times, poor you!
did you get little bumps in the vein after that? I have a little bump in my vein just beyond where he blew it and it still feels tender. And this was almost a week ago!

Ya, the nurses are apparently retarded at my hospital. I asked them to stop, but the insisted that I needed it because they were transfering me to another hospital that had a NICU. When I got to the other hospital they took it out because I didn't need it at the time and it was killing me! I had bruises for over three weeks. This time when I go to deliver I am making them let my mom put it in or refusing it. My doctor already knows to so hopefully they won't try to play pin cushion with me again!

you go girl! lol I am definitely going to ask them to do it on my other hand as my left hand still hurts from it. I hate that IVs are hospital policy! I don't even want one. I could just sip water or chew ice chips to keep myself hydrated during labor!

I know it's retarded they're like you can't drink or anything, but we'll give you fluid in a bag. Makes sense   I have them put my iv in my arm it's so much more comfortable, or at least it was last time.

yeah, I mean either way you're gonna have to get up and go pee! and they recommend some walking during labor anyway, so what's the difference?!
I understand they do it so if an emergency arises they can put meds in right away, but for a low-risk pregnancy they should give you a choice.

It was just on my forearm between my wrist and elbow. The first one they put in my hand hurt like hell everytime I would bend my wrist the tude would hit inside, it was weird. All I know was once it was in my arm it didn't bother me.

yeah mine dd the same thing, I was so afraid to move my hand, the needle felt likeit had come out of the other side of my vein and was poking downwards, if that makes any sense.
Wow making people and bringing them into the world is tough work! lol
but so worth it! I can't wait!

Ya, I'm nervous because he is early, but my doctor keeps telling me everthing will be just fine, so I'm trying to listen. The last thing I want is him getting sent to the hospital an hour away   I would fell horrible.

awww, don't think that way! I am sure he will be just fine! And even if he does have to go to the NICU for a little while, it will only be for the best and you'll have him home with you in no time! My friend was due april 24th and she had her son on feb 14th, he got out of the NICU in mid march! he was only 31 weeks gestation. You are almost full term, so don't worry it'll all be just fine!
