I think I have my days and nights mixed up....

posted 27th May '12
I For some reason I cannot go to bed before 2 am every night and then I sleep until noon EVERY SINGLE DAY. I only wake up to feed and change my son who is almost 2 months old. He wants to eat every 3 hours which is fine, I have no problem doing whatever I need to do for him. I just cant stay awake when he is asleep. He sleeps all throughout the morning except for his feedings. Is this normal that I am this tired? I have been really hard on myself for gaining 50 pounds during my pregnancy, and I'm not sure if the fact that I am sleeping so much is a sign of depression or what?

Could be.

Could you possibly be anemic? That's how I feel if I don't take my iron for a few days.

I'm not even sure. I just can't go to sleep at night and then I end up sleeping all day. I try to go to bed but I just lay there.

I'd get it checked out, just to be safe.

Or, take some iron or prenatals and see if you feel better in like a week?

I will call my doctor and check. It couldn't hurt.

Definitely not. And if it turns out you aren't, at least he may be able to give you some answers!

So, did you ever figure out what the problem was? I'm also finding it hard to go to bed at night but only because I'm exhausted during the day and I sleep as much as my 11 month old daughter [naps and all] also my schedule is affecting hers....hers being she doesn't have one because I'm sleeping during the day and not at night. [If I sound crazy I apologize, Since I delievered I haven't been able to think straight either]
