While listening to this song by my favorite boyband (of course the one I was in love with turned out to be gay) I thought of making a list of promises to my son:
(dunno how to make the video show here)
Dear son,
Mommy promises to read to you every night. She will read books of her own in front of you and write in front of you on a regular basis so that you too, become an avid reader. Mommy also promises to check your backpack and keep you up to date with all your assignments throughout elementary, middle and the beginning of high school. She promises to endow the utmost self esteem in you so that you can dream bigger than she was able to when she was able to....your potential is absolutely endless.
Love, Mommy
Please post your promises. One step to making this world a better place.
I promise to be give you all of my love every single day of my life. I promise you that you won't suffer without your father around. I'll be both mommy and daddy, just for you. I promise to support you in anything you want to pursue whether it be basketball or dance class. I promise you that one day you and I will have our own house that we can live in. I promise you that I'll never put my career before you. I never want you to feel alone. I cannot promise that I'll never upset you or make you angry but above all, I can promise that I'll always be there for you in any way that you need me to. I love you.
Dear Ludovic,
Mommy promises you to always love you, to always be behind you and always be proud of you, whatever you decide to do. I also promise that I will allow you to be creative and encourage it with all my heart. I promise to listen to your stories and help you develop your imagination. I promise to laugh with you and help you become the man you want to be. I love you, my boy.
Quoting ♥ casssie:" Dear Calen, I promise to be give you all of my love every single day of my life. I promise you that ... [snip!] ... angry but above all, I can promise that I'll always be there for you in any way that you need me to. I love you. Momma <3"
Dear Hailey,
Mommy promises to love you and be behind you no matter what choices you make in your life.
I promise to make sure you have everything you will ever need, and always give you more than what mommy had when she was little.
I promise to let you be creative, and do whatever makes you happy.
I promise to provide for you now, and in the future, even if it does mean working 12 1/2 hour shifts.
I love you, my sweet girl.
-Mommy.
And P.S., I promise to eventually stop letting you eat all the crackers off the floor that you just dropped.
Dear Ellie,
I promise to not make any promises that I can't keep. I can't promise to be the best mom in the world, I can't promise you that I won't make mistakes, disapoint you or let you down. You will get mad at me, cry, scream, yell. You might even hate me a few times in your life. But one thing I CAN promise you is that no matter what, I will always, always love you more then anything else in the entire world. I promise that no matter what we go through, the good and the bad- you'll always be my baby girl and I will always do anything for you.
Love you baby, to the moon, and back.
