i hate it when BD buys things for my son

posted 25th May '12
he always gets him things that i specifically ask him not to. for instance a nintendo dsi. Joshua is failing in school and doesn't need to waste more time with stupid games. he needs things like books to read.. i have one mind to sell the thing. he's spoiling this boy!

He's probably failing school because of all of the work you have him doing at home (like taking care of his siblings).

My ex bought my daughter a stupid gaming system that I tossed. If I wanted a mind numbing brain rot, I would have bought her one myself. You doubly have a good reason if he isn't doing well in school.

You can limit his time with the items while he is with you. You can't blame him for spending money on him even though it's not what you want for him. At least he is around.

Put the things that are fun away until he brings his grades up. Use them as a reward only! Explain to your BD the only thing he is doing is giving his son things you are going to take away until he earns them.

Tell him to leave it at his Dad's. He can play with it when he's there, that it is not allowed at your house.

That's terrible! I cannot stand parent's that make the older kids "help out" with the younger kids, he didn't give birth to them, they're your responsibility.

Ikr! At least he does something for his kid, I can't even get my baby's father to buy a pack of diapers!

His kid too. My stepson wanted a guitar for Xmas which is what we got him. His mom wasnt thrilled but it's what he wanted and he plays it all the time.

If its that big of an issue send it back to his dads for him to play there.
