Anyone try the gender predicting tests??

If so, which one , and if you would be so kind, did it work??

I was watching "House of Babies" this morning and it said that there's an old wives tale that if you tie a ring onto a piece of hair and dangle it over your belly, if it goes in circles it's a girl, and if it swings like a pendulum back and forth, it's a boy...

I tested it first over my hand and guess what?? I'm a girl...Then I did it over my belly and at first it didn't move at all...Then I realized that I wasn't over where the baby likes to hang out...So I moved the hair/ring to the left and down a bit and it started swinging...In a pendulum back and forth motion...DH will be thrilled if it's right :LOL:

Then I tested it again over my hand and again it went in a circle...Then again over the vacant part of my belly...No movement...Then again over where baby likes to hang out...Back and forth again!!

Pretty cool...But has anyone else ever tested this??

If not, and you're not busy, would you be so kind as to give it a shot??

Again, you tie a ring onto a piece of hair, and suspend it over your belly...I did it laying down cause I'm only four months...I hope it's right...For DHs sake!!

Yes, I tried the ALL except the draino one, that stuff is hard to find here   and they all said GIRL even my ultrasounds all said girl until around my 23 week, she had a PENIS!!!   and its been verified twice since then......

chinese gender predictor was the only one that worked for me... however all my female family and coworkers were right lol

Nothing worked for me. Little girls loved me and I had a girl. All the signs (old wives tales) and gender predictors told me it was a boy.

the chinese gender chart worked 4 me...but the ring didnt.....ya my mom was all about that ring test   my dad walked in on us and was like what the hell???

The ones that i tried told me that i was having a little girl. Turns out that i am growing a baby boy! They never worked for me. but they do have a 50/50 chance of being right!

I just did it....i tested it over my sisters hand and her best friends just to see if it would actually work...my sister it took a while to do anything but then it swung in a circle, her friend circle, my hand circle, over my belly circle  then the only boy in the house is the dog and it swung back and forth for him  so maybe the doctors aren't wrong lol

I did the ring one a while ago and it went in a circle by my belly for a girl.. Also the Chinese gender chart said I was having a girl... Went in for my ultrasound last Monday.... It's a boy.... Another boy.. LOL, maybe the ultrasound is wrong.. hehe

I just tried the ring one and it went in circles for me. I have my ultrasound tomorrow, so I'll let you know.

It's a girl  

The ring test was accurate for me, as a matter of fact so was the heart rate thing.

I just did the ring on a hair test over my belly & it went into swingin in circles like crazy..so I guess it says girl too!!
now I've got my family & friends & your dousing rods & the ring test all saying girl!! yay!! we'll see if its right hopefully Monday!! 

I did the ring on a string test, when I was about 16 weeks along, AND it said it was a boy...
Then low and behold at 18 weeks and 2 days, I found out I was having a boy...
Wives tales can be a myth, but its still fun to do!!
