Toddler bed with all 4 sides?

posted 25th May '12
Does anyone know of a toddler bed with all 4 sides?

My son is almost 3 and sleeps in a toddler bed now, that I have against the wall and on the open side I put a board on it... so he can't fall out, but it's low enough that he can easily climb in and out of the bed... but it looks ugly and makeshift.
He is all over the place while he sleeps so if it's not there he ends up on the floor... but I want him to be able to get in and out of bed on his own.

anyone know of a toddler bed that has all four sides like a crib, but that are super low??

and I know they make those rails you can sick on the bed, but it never seems to stay right.

They have attachable sides at walmart-- would serve the same purpose without looking so thrown together.

My son's racecar bed is pretty sunk in. He's never fallen out.

they make sides for the toddler beds. You can buy them at walmart. They come in multiple colors and go about 1/2 way to 3/4 down the sides of the bed so that they still have room to get in and out

You could use a bed rail instead of the board. Some of them are super cute. They just slide under the mattress.
Maybe something like this. http://www.amazon.com/Summer-Infant-Disney-Secure-Bedrail/dp/B004EBRZYA

my only idea would be the sides that you can buy to put on a normal bed that go under the matress. my daughters bed is one of the 4 in 1 cribs so it already has 3 full sides and well she doesnt even have part of a side on the other side. she figured out to stay away from the side after she fell out a couple times WITH the side on

i dont know of one, but we had the same concerns about our LO. While she was getting used to being out of the crib, we bought an inflatable toddler bed. They look like shallow, small inflatable boats. She loved it and it was great to have when we went visiting.
Whe she went to the big-girl bed, we just put pillows on the floor around her.

She will be two in three weeks and gets in and out very easy.

The bed of your toddler should not be too high above the ground as the child might find it difficult to get in or out of the bed, low height would also mean less or no injuries even if the child falls off the bed while playing or sleeping in the bed. The positioning of toddler beds plays an important role in the safety of children and it is advisable that you do not place the bed close to windows, heating equipment, lamps or walls because children can hurt themselves while playing in the bed.Read more
