if you want it to have your last name then give it your last name. if the guy is around that doesnt make a difference the baby wont know the difference they'll call him daddy for all their life if hes around.....

I am not married, am not dating her father & I know I never will be . I carried my daughter for 9 months so I want her to have my last name & every last name I have [if it changes in the future] .

i don't know how it is a sign of respect? I don't think it has anything to do with respect at all. It's a matter of decision, and it's your decision bc you're not married.
if you want your baby to have your last name, you're not married, and you're not with the father, and it seems like you have some doubt of him being around..the choice seems simple to me...YOURS, definitely.

Your name for sure. My best friend had this delimma too and her exbf has only seen his 1 1/2 year old daughterlike 5 times, she is extremely glad she gave her baby her last name.

My son has MY last name and i wouldnt have it any other way.
My babys "fathers" other baby mama gave her son HIS last name and she says IT WAS THE BIGGEST MISTAKE OF HER LIFE so i decided not to make the same mistale + he def doesnt deserve for my son to have HIS last name.

If you babydaddy isnt there for you NOW and he is "supposibly" going to be there later i would stick with YOUR last name for NOW.
