What formula do you use?

I have a 34 week preemie that is about to be moved over to formula.

Which formula is your baby on? Her pedi wants to put her on Similac Alimentum but it is so pricey

We use similac sensitive. bout the only thing she can really keep down that I've noticed. And WIC pays for it.

Targets brand Up and Up compared to Similac Sensitive. I get the 2lb can for 21 dollars. It was a few dollars cheaper until they changed the design of the cans and decided to up the prices, but still cheaper than the name brand stuff.

Wic will also cover so many cans with a drs note. It helps me. I could afford normal formula on my own but not this yet. Not 15 cans a month lol

I saw your other post and I was wondering if you have tried a nipple shield? I know you were wanting to nurse and not pump and that they may help. But the Alimentum is one of the gentlest formulas on the belly, so I would go with the doctor's recommendation.. do you qualify for WIC? They should cover it.

With my son I breast and formula fed, the formula that worked the best for him was enfamil gentlelease (sp?)

Have you applied? Because although your income may exceed the limits, sometimes they have exceptions.
