Implantation bleeding?? *TMI*

I'm on CD 13 and I've just started bleeding. It's a pinkish reddish color and it's VERY light. I've always been able to tell when I would start my period because I'd cramp really bad then WOOSH. I don't know why but this is just different. I haven't been on birth control in MONTHS and I'm 8 months post partum.. so I've BEEN regular.
When should I test? How long should this last? I didn't have this with my son.. so this one is pretty new to me. Any suggestions????

Well if your period is due tomorrow, you can test then if the bleeding doesnt get heavy by then..... if its negative and the bleeding stops and was just spotting, wait three or four days and test again!

you could try now   I am 3-4 days out from my period and i got a faint positive  plus I'm also nausiated as well

I'm impatient so I would test now

On cycle day 13 it sounds like you're more likely due to ovulate soon. It may be ovulation spotting. If this if the first you've really watched your body you may just be noticing it for the first time.

If you mean 13 days past ovulation then a test would be fairly accurate right now. Or wait a few more days for better results.

OOOh good call. I just assumed she meant 13 DPO... but if its only cycle day 13 then definitely wait at LEAST two weeks and test if your period doesnt come!

Yeah it's cycle day 13. BUT here's the kicker...
I just started a new medicine. And when my period was due all I got was a really light spotting. But it was RED. Not pin/brownk, so I figured that was just the effect of the stress from "about to start a new medicine".
And I've always monitored my period. Old habits die hard... lol and I've NEVER had ovulating spotting. EVER.
I'm just caught between "is it my period trying to make up for that light spotting?" or "implantation bleeding?". I WANT TO TEST!! I just gotta know!! LOL

Just to let you know im in the same boat, I started spotting the same as you 3 days ago it started 1 day before my period was due it lasted 2 days. I read up on implantation bleeding on the net and decided to take a test today. It was a faint positive. Im going to retest with my first urine tomorrow morning but i think i am because my breasts are changing and the cramping that was really bad last night has now stopped. So im just going that i am preg but ill know better tomorrow hopfully and good luck it sound the same as me. Im so excited. xxxx

What part of your cycle did you start the new meds in? Before or after ovulation? If it was before, stress could have indeed delayed your period/made it weird. If it was after, the period would have more than likely been more normal.

If it just seems too abnormal for you by all means test. If you were pregnant when you had that light period you wouldmost definately test positive.

The new meds could also have had an effect on you and given you ovulation spotting. idk

CD 13 too early for implantation bleeding. The egg needs at least 7-10 to implant, and you would had to ovulate while AF was happening.

I'm just so confused. It sucks.
I tested, and it came up negative, but it could just be too soon or I could just be having an unbelieveably late period. (Which I'm thinking..)I started the medicine last week so it was after when my period was supposed to start. So my period was just off even before the medicine. But I think the stress of having an 8 month old and starting something new really messed me up.
Maybe my body just skipped a period or something and I ovulated instead (NEVER KNOW LOL)... Either way, I'll know for sure if this lasts more than 3 days and I test in 2 weeks. I just wish I'd have a good full period then get pregnant so I could get this all straightened out!! Not knowing whats going on really bites.
