OP- I got the Paragard and it has no hormones. I love it and can't complain other than heavier periods.

Yeah they told me to leave mine on for a week! I think I only left it for 3-4 days though because I thought it was gross lol!

Paraguard was the devil for me. Omg I hated it. lol No more IUDs for me.

lol i ended up taking mine off after a couple hours bc it was driving me crazy, i just left the tape on it for a couple days

Because for the 3 months I had it I didn't stop bleeding. Clots were the size of sausage patties and I felt like I was in labor my cramps were so bad. The bleeding got so heavy that I had to go to the ER and they told me it was on it's way out and they removed it.

Oh goodness. I've never heard of it being like that. I'm sorry to hear. Your body probably didn't like it and was trying to reject it. :-/

Yeah that's what the ER doc said. I felt like I was having contractions and he said I was. I was glad it was over once he took it out.

Not to mention it had your cervix drop so low you couldn't get a tampon in when it was coming out!
