Has anyone used a pdf sewing pattern from etsy

I am a complete beginner, and my mother is teaching me how to sew. Anyway the only place that I can find the next pattern I want to try is on etsy, and I have no idea what to expect from these printable pdf patterns. It's only $7 so I guess i'll just buy it and see. Has anyone used them? It's a simple pattern, so I guess it would be a good place to start.

I have and they are pretty easy to use and understand. Just be greatful you have your mother to help!
