Charity walks

posted 2nd May
So Meg (Kailyn's momma) invited me for some chairty walks this weekend and next, plus there is a huge festival next weekend I'm going to as well.

I'm 16 days PP today. Has anyone else done walks this early? I don't know if it is too much on my body. I've been out with Cora for walks and trips to the stores and such with no problems. My stitches are gone and my PP bleeding is down to a light spotting.

I really wanna walk, just to get out of the house, and to be social again for a few hours.

My mom thinks this is a horrible idea. Anyone else have an opinion (good or bad)?

I wouldn't do it! i mean walking around is good to help heal but in public is not soo good what if you have like a bad blood clot or something then you won't be at home to take care of it...just do other little things like shirts to show that your being supportive

I think that it would be ok to do as long as you listen to your body and keep a pace that you are comfortable with. Just remember that it is not a race but a walk, and I am sure that if you have to stop in the middle they will not be mad or penalize you it is a charity walk. How long is the walk supposed to be?

Well, I am definitely planning on speedwalking. Maybe even spriting for a mile or so. So, you better be able to keep up or else we will leave you guys there!

If you decide you dont want to do it, please feel comfortable enough to let me know! But, I have done so many of these things - and if you do have a problem, there are always EMS people there just in case. But, I think you will be okay. If we need to we can stop, or turn around, or something. I took Kailyn on a road trip to Buffalo exactly 2 weeks PP. It was for a homecomming celebration so we were up and down on my feet all day - it wasnt too bad at all. Kailyn slept most of the time in her sling.

Oh I am totally gonna do it, weather permitting. I just wanted to see if anyone else had been "active" that soon. Cora will sleep in her stroller the entire time I bet.
