My baby's gonna be big!!

I finally got my Sonogram MondayApril 28. I was surprised that it was a girl because my mom and the father-to-be were expecting a boy. But none-the-less, I was excited because I always imagined my first baby to be a girl. Anyways, after we asked the sex, the dr. told us how big the baby was and how surprised she was. She's already 2 LBS!!! The Dr. said that that's pretty big & shes a little overweight. I hope she's wrong. I'm petite and I"m scared that I will have to have a C-section. I heard that the baby grows 1lb. a week in the last 4 weeks so, that plus the 2 lbs she weighs (not counting the 14 weeks in-between) adds up to 6 lbs. If anyone who was petite and had a big baby has any positive news, please reply!!

im 5'3 pre prego im 120ish...and my son was 7.12 at 38 weeks 6 days when i had him...ull have no prob...
i had no tearing or stitches!

My little sister is really petite... she's like 5'3" and 110 lbs... Her baby girl was born on March 21 weighing in at 7lbs 12 oz, her head was 13.5.... AND she was born ALL natural... NO MEDS =D

I wouldn't worry they said my son was over weight when i had my first sonogram and said he was going to be like 8 1/2 lbs when born but he was only 7lbs 12oz. telling a mom her baby is over weight just cause her too worry its not right.

nah your baby is supposed to be 2 lbs right now

i am having my 3rd child and the first 2 were 9 lbs each! i am about 5'6 and i weighed 115 with my first and 2nd i had no problems with the delivery. with this one i was 132 when i got preg. that was a size 5 for me so i expect no problem delivering this one.

Thanx guys. Well, im about 5'4" and before i had gotten pregnant I was 115. I'm just hoping to have the baby the natural way. I hear alot of horror-stories from my step-mom [who i live with] and the other day i had looked up c-section and the pictures and 3 different ways they could cut didn't help.

i had my u/s and they said baby is 1 lb 14 oz and that i'm in the 50 percentile which is great...did they tell you your percentile?

No, they didn't tell me my percentile. They didn't even tell me how long my baby was. So im just guessing that everything is ok. I see my Dr. in a week and we're gonna discuss the sonogram.
