How did you find out the gender?

Sooooo, some sad news.
My app date for us to find out the gender has to go a little different as planned  
My husband CANNOT get off work to go because he is working out of town.
Our new plan is to have the ultrasound lady write it down on a piece of paper & put it in an envelope.
We are going to watch the ultrasound together when he comes home (we get ours recorded on DVD by the ultrasound tech) & try to figure it out ourselves. When its over, we are going to open the envelope!
Its the only way we can find out together!!

i think thats a very cute idea and fun for the both of you   we just went to this place in the mall and found out when i was 16 it was fun and special for us but not very creative.

So even LONGER to have to wait to find out what it is

Thats a cute way to find out. When i found out it was a boy i almost cryed ive always wanted a boy i got 2 girls n now my son

With my ultrasound with my last, DH couldn't be there, so our dr just recorded it. I looked away when they got to the figuring out gender part and that night we all sat down and watched the DVD. It worked for us   And it was a bit exciting to see the rest of the ultrasound all over again.

O goodness your going to be showing some will power. I would have to have someone hold onto the results the waiting would kill me i would most likely peek lol i hope the time goes by fast  

thats a really cute idea! another one is maybe a mini coming home party (if hes been gone for a while) with the gender revealing cake. your idea is super personal and more between you guys so i love it!

All three times the ultrasound tech just told us. Next time though, I think we are going to have them write it down in an envelope and then go out to dinner and record ourselves opening it. That's my plan anyway! lol.

There is no way I could go two weeks with the results in hand and not peek! Lol..

I would have somebody hold onto it for sure, and hopefully they wont say anything before you both find out. Love the idea you have!!
