How old is she? And is it hard and clay-like? My kids were constantly constipated so I can help if you let me know EXACTLY what it was like and how old she is. Because I KNOW it's safe to give her apple juice (diluted lightly) to help her once she hits about two weeks but before that I'm not sure. They say Karo syrup but my nurse and WIC told me that can actually be dangerous and juice is much better.

Their poop is very weird in the beginning, I really wouldn't worry. If you still are just ask the Dr. at the appt today.

Okay, if it's claylike, then just tell her doctor at her appointment and ask if you can give her just a little bit of apple juice. It WILL help...immensely. Is she beging formula fed? That tends to be the case for constpiated babies. And if so, what kind of formula?

She's on Goodstart Natural cultures.
The dr. changed her formula's so we're going to see how it goes,and she also said her pooping like that is normal.I need to relax some lol.

Ive heard as long as they have one bowel movement a week, this early.
I swear to god thats what the doctor told me when I left! I was surprised.

No problem/ My kids had serious issues with constipation and as a mommy it is AWFUL to watch them in that kind of pain. I've been lucky, Drake hasn't had many issues at all yet. Only once and we gave him juice right away, which took care of that.
