Sorry for the dumb question..

But...

The past 3 days Ive been having some contractions..Im pretty sure theyre not BH. They're pretty much 9 minutes apart. They dont hurt as bad..Id say there a 3 out of 10. Im also 1cm dilated, finally (:

But, my question is, how close do they have to be to start thinking about getting ready to go to the hospital? This is just for future reference (:

My OB told me to go by 4-1-1. 4 contractions lasting 1 minute within 1 hour.

10 mins apart for more than an hour pre-term, 5 mins apart for more than an hour after 37 weeks or if your water breaks is when you are supposed to go in. I was always told to just have my bags packed and ready to go so when the time came I could just grab and go. With my son I didn't have a bag packed my water broke we took our time since we lived really close to the hospital and packed the bag and left. I hope that answers your question.

Mine started out 5m apart (or that's when I woke anyways) @7am. I waited till 10:45 to go into doctor. By that time they were about 3m apart.

Depends on the hospital's policy, because they do vary. At the hospital I delivered DD at they wouldn't admit you until 4 cm. I was having contractions every 6-7 minutes lasting 30-45 seconds and was sent home. You might still have a while yet if they're that far apart and you're only a 1   Could still be BH.

I've had contractions for 2+ weeks that are 7-9 minutes apart, and I still haven't went into labor   I'm being induced Monday. But I'm also 39 weeks.

If you're pre term, you should go in if you're having any type of contractions in my opinion.

The past 2 weeks were really 25 minutes apart, so I believed they were actually BH, maybe? and then all of a sudden, 3 days ago, they were just 9 minutes apart.

Ive been keeping track of my contractions for the past hour, and it has been exactly 9 minutes every time and last a minute long. So, i dont know.
I guess I'll have to ask my OB, since it varys :/

I would call the after hours line your OB should have. That way you could tell them what is happening. They are timeable and lasting longer than BH do. It will give you a piece of mind anyway.
