BMW SUV Owners...

I'll leave this simple, until I find an owner..

My question is...

Do you have issues with the sunroof clogging/leaking out into the interior of the car? Like through the roof controls, driver side door and gas/brake pedals?

I have a BMW but its not an SUV so idk if my answer will help but no Ive never had issues with my 3 series.

No, just when I hit the button for the sunroof to close, it will close and open, close and open like 5 times. I have to tap the button to get it to close without opening again. You should only have to hit it once, but mine is obviously broken..

i have had several bmw station wagons.. not the suv but close, and never had that issue. my SO drives a 3series and doesnt have a issue either.

what year is it and what model?

Oh, okay. It only happens when we get a down pour for hours. We've taking it back and forth to have it fixed and it only get's fix temporarily. They say it's the hose getting clogged? All of the vehicles I've ever owned had sunroofs, and I never had this problem. I've been doing a lot of reading online and they said that it's common in the X series, and I'll probably need to replace the whole sunroof. Lovely! The sunroof takes up the whole roof of the car... I can't even imagine how much that's going to be. That's probably what I need to do then.

My Mercedes does the same thing, but I chalk it up to being a 94. lol

It's a 06 X5.. I just read on Google searches that it's mostly the X5's that have this issue. They are saying the seals are faulty and the only way to prevent leaking is to have the whole sunroof replaced.. Of course not covered under warranty, which is bullsmurf.

Wahhhh.. I want a new car!! lol
