Stopping labor.

I went into the hospital last night and they stopped my contractions again! I was already hospitalized at 24 weeks for pre-term labor but my doctor pulled me off the NIFEdipine because LO is too far along now that I don't need the medication but the hospital still gave it to me. Any other people in this situation? When is a good time to be taken off of the medication all together?

That's honestly pretty weird unless they tested his lungs and they were premature. I had my son at 37 weeks and they induced me.

I went into pre-term labor with my twins and the dr had to stop it. But the meds only slowed it down for 3 weeks and then they quit working. My labor stalled at 5 cm and I had to be given pitocin at 36 weeks 1 day and they were born very healthy. I hated the side effects of the meds I was on breathaine 1st and then on NIFEdipine.

They never tested his lungs once while I was in the hospital. They said they HAVE to stop labor because I'm technically under 37 weeks and when I got there I was a fingertip dilated and when I left I was 2 centimeters. I was pretty mad. So I'm not sure if I should keep taking the NIFEdipine when I get contractions or just let them come.... Hmmm, any input?
