Finger food.

What kind of finger food do ypu give you a 7mth old. Last night noah haD a vegimite sandwich and he loved it, what else can i give him?

Cherrios! There is a certain type of baby cereal that dissolves in their mouth, but I don't know the brand.

banana
spaghetti
cheerios (are the best my son love love loved them and they are tiny)
jelly
steamed carrot
teething rusks (they scare me little though)

I was talking to one of the ladies who works at my son's daycare yesterday and she said I can give him table foods like mashed potatoes, really soft pasta, small pieces of bread and crust, crackers, anything that can be mushy when he eats it. I let Jake hold a banana to eat it by himself and he loves it, especially with all of his teeth that have been coming in.

when my daughter was 7months I gave her:

Cheerios
Gerber puffs
Steamed carrots diced
Diced apples
An over ripe banana
Toast
Crackers

And i'm sure other things that I can't recall at the moment.

Hehe- I've never tried to give Cheetos to my daughter.

Ever see those binky's that have a kind of mesh/netting in them so that baby's can try new foods without choking. I got a couple I thought they looked neat but this is my first child so idk if peo ple actually use them...

I had a few friends who used them. They said they are good for the first time or two but once they get all icky from the food then its hard to clean. I'm not sure though because I never used them personally.

My daughter will be 8 months on Sunday. She eats veggies and fruits cut up really small, pasta, pancakes, cheese, turkey, chicken, cheerios, gerber puffs, nutragrain bars cut into small pieces... She does really great with anything as long as it's small enough and it's something I feel her tummy will tolerate. She refuses to be fed ANYTHING anymore, even yogurt and applesauce, so I have to feed her finger foods.
