How to Paint the Nursery

posted 1st May
My daughter(2and a half) and the newborn are going to share a room once the baby is out of the bassinet in our room. My daughter is in a big girl bed, and I spent a small fortune buying bedding for her from Pottery Barn Kids. The bedskirt and window valance are green gingham, and the curtains are plain green. I also have like 14 baskets for toys and things in the green gingham, so I'd like to reuse them in the new room. I bought for the baby, a green gingham crib bumper and 2 sets of gingham sheets.

My question is, how should I paint the room. Obviously I could just paint it a plain green, but I was hoping to do something a little more fun. Any ideas?

We find out next thursday, but even if it's a girl, I don't want the room too girly...I can't stand the color pink!

My first baby we knew was a girl and I painted the top half of the wall white and the bottom half was the green. it was a small room so I wanted to have white to make it seem bigger but the green to go with the bedding. You can also put a border in between the two colors if you can find one that fits your bedding.
