Yeah, I personally don't think it was the right place for the thread but at the same time if I were in her shows I would probably be reluctant to post it anywhere else because people are SO opinionated on here and its such a sensitive topic.... I don't know, all I know is from my own personal experience with coming across her stuff she's usually really nice so I think it was just bad judgement...

Because it had nothing to do with needing support or telling an abortion story. She was sharing that her daughter that was born was announced on MTV.

It's abortion survivors, its a protected forum for people thinking about getting an abortion or for people who have h ad one. I dont really think it was that wrong of her to post here. If i wanted to talk about anything that had to do with my past abortion I would probably post here. People can be so mean if you dont.

It doesn't belong in AS, it would have went there anyway as I posted in the mod forum to make it happen.

Just being about abortion doesn't make something qualify for AS. It needs to be someone seeking support or asking questions about their abortion.

A general discussion about abortion is not cool, and posting in here just to avoid negative feedback is ABUSE of this forum, as I said earlier.

Just read it all, it really looks like. it could have resulted in a positive conversation about having children after having an abortion, which could be good support for those considering it. Unfortunently, people got over sensitive and over defensive, probably with the best intentions, but still...this doesn't belong in TDC

It's for people who have had one or are thinking of one, who need personal help and assistance and support with it.

Not just for people who've had abortion to talk about anything they like without people being able to reply back.

She abused the protected nature of the forum just to avoid negative comments.

You're right, it belongs in a place like FFA like she said. But when something goes in AS and doesn't belong, the only place it CAN be moved is TDC.

I guess I don't really understand why it was deemed inappropriate for AS. The question she posed at the end of her post infers that she was seeking support. At least that's the way I took it.

She asked other people if they were gonna tell their kids about their abortions. Nowhere in the post did she actually mention her abortion or needing any kind of help.

All WE see, without surfing through that video to find her section, is her going on about how she was on MTV and that's where she announced she was pregnant.

.... especially when youre bringing up the point that you just put all the same info out on freakin MTV... National television kinda negates the wanting to avoid negativity.

it still could do this.... just because it moved to tdc doesnt mean it cant have a good conversation, except now all anyone wants to talk about are forum technicalities.

OMG I didn't even know it was sent to TDC until a girl messaged me telling me :S
TO CLARIFY, before I finish reading through all the 'wtf' posts.. I went to MTV last year to talk about my abortion experience for a special they were doing. The video that I tried to link was a two minute update they posted like 4 months later and in it I tell everyone that I'm pregnant with DD. It wasn't about a failed abortion and I wasn't bragging. Just posted in AS since the MTV special was about abortion and I was asking other abortion survivors if they're open like I was.
Damn. As if it's in TDC.
