gettin induced...and kinda scared :/

so, went to the doctor today for my 38 wk checkup and she decided to induce me...next wednesday! holy crap how soon is that!
i am super excited and cant wait, but yet i'm also terrified...so any comforting stories would be good haha
also, my baby's daddy and my daddy dont get along, and my dad decided to tell my sister and not me that he wont ccome to the hospital if my babys daddy will be there, which he will be...why didnt my dad talk to me bout this and why is he deciding to be a prick like that? ugh....more stress
anyways, whats it like to get induced?

so why are u getting induced already? i thought they dont induce until 40 weeks or after..

Just curious, why is your doctor inducing you?If ther is no medical reason I wouldn't do it!

well actually its cuz my momma's havin surgery the 15th

Im thinking the same thing as everyone else...why are you getting induced before your due date?
I dont even have that option until 10 days after my due date...

Igot induced at 39 weeks, and everything went great. She did the pill, where they insert into your cervix. she did that at 8:00 pm and she broke my water at midnight and then my baby girl was born at 3:07 am

Plus, my baby being a week early she weighed 8 pounds 9 oz. Dont listen to these ppl, your doc knows whats best for you and your baby

Why are they inducing you? Is everything okay?

same with me..I have no option until 10 days after..Thats crazy doctors are inducing before due dates if its not for a medical reason....

Thats not a good reason! Just my opinion! Let your baby decide when its ready!

my doctor induces a lot of her patients, she assured me that he is ready and everything is ok so i went ahead and decided to do it...i wasnt going to unless i went over but i need my momma there and she will for sure be able to be there now

she just said shes getting induced because her mom is having surgery....
My fiancee is taking unpaid time off work...should I get induced just so we know exactly what day his time off will start????
My son was 8lbs 14oz, Im a small person, Im sick of hearing the "my pelvis is small" bs...I got him out just fine thank you!

Agreed. Give your baby time to say HE'S ready, not when YOU'RE ready and when it's convenient.

Yeah and i got induced because my hubby works out of town and work for 4 weeks at a time, so i got induced so he could be here, and i promis you my baby is healthy as can be..
