Well this is ginna be hard.

posted 16th May '12
Next Friday I go for an abortion. Doesn't matter how many tests I take it always comes out positive. I'm so sad that I put myself in this position and was a complete idiot and forgot my depo shot. I feel like god is gonna hate me! I just can't have another baby right now. I'm not emotionally ready or financially stable.

Does it hurt? How long did it take to heal? Any advice?

I think I'm about 6 weeks.

A friend did the pill when she was about 6 weeks. She said she cramped really badly but that was about it. She only missed two days of work I believe.

From personal experience, at 9 weeks they put me to sleep so I didnt feel anything. Now afterwards it was the worst experience of my life. I had horrible pain in my legs where I couldn't get out of bed and the loratab they gave me didnt work

My only advice is have someone else with you for the first two days or so and DONT HAVE SEX AT ANY TIME before your 6 weeks just like after you give birth because your cervix is wide open

If you want to talk pm me...

then you probably wont need a D&C (Surgery type) and they try and make it as pain free for you as possible. If the nurses notice your in pain, they'll get right to you. They really try and show you that they care.

Physically I healed about 4-5 weeks afterwards.

Emotionally it's hard and I never got over it and I dont think I ever will.

Good luck and I hope everything goes well. <3

They gave me the option of surgery or the pill but the pill apartently isnt garunteed to work so I would rather just get it all over with at once.

I'm just so nervous! My boyfriend will be with me all weekend and he's gonna take care of my son while I heal.

It will be okay, you will cramp, you will bleed, but usually you feel better after a few days. I wish you the best of luck!

i had one when i was 18, i was 11 weeks.
it kind of sucks, the second the procedure was over i felt SO different, like i didn't feel pregnant anymore. i knew the second the baby was gone.

the next 2 days or so were brutal. the cramping and bleeding were SO bad for me i couldnt even get out of bed, SO had to do everything for me - im glad he was there to help me. the bleeding keeps going for weeks but the cramping gets A LOT easier to handle. its really just the first few days that are bad.

oh, and this may have just been me but when i was in the recovery section after i had it i literally had to get up and RUN to the bathroom because i was so sick. i also got really light headed. it was probably from the drastic change that happened so quickly, im not sure if anyone else has had that happen but just a heads up.

im sorry you're in this situation, it really does suck   good luck to you!
